Hot water heater bbq welding tip: I have seen a lot of plans on the web lately about making BBQ grills and smokers out of hot water heaters. I Think a good tip might be letting people Know that galvanized metal puts off a poison gas when welded or cut with a torch.From what I have seen it makes a yellow smoke.If you have to weld it you should do it out side or a very well vented place with exhust fan.
