Lack Of Fusion

Well I did a course for one week to freshen my memory. I did my all position tests and I passed my horizontal, vertical, and my overhead. I passed with no nicks in the coupon. My flat they said was lack of fusion. My amps were at 135 amp. I took the test last week and turned it up to 138 amps. It looks like it was too hot but it looks like I got a lot of penetration but it was hot. Will this be a bad thing to do? They say that good heat is 130 amps to 140 amps for flat testing!!!!!!!!!!!
