practice
by: sami

Sir, we have been practicing since last semester (almost 4 months) but we can not reduce the spreading of welding on sheet. Now we have got a chance to work with an experienced welder, and got much information about that. And to make radial beads now we are going to use a fixture which will rotate the specimen at constant rate making beads exactly radial. is it beneficial sir? reply seeker

get help
by: yoder

take your sheet to a machine shop or sheet metal shop and have them roll it in a roller. It will make it much easier. Also clean any rust, mill scale or other debris off your base plate before welding. There are multiple different settings a mig machine can be on so get some scrap and just practice running beads while fiddling with the settings. Almost sounds like you have too high of wirespeed for your voltage.
