spaceage welding rod for Aluminum?

There is a spaceage welding rod out there that welds aluminum together. I've seen it at trade shows and local swap meet's (dumb some times that I am) did not buy it. In the demo the guy welds a coke can after punching a few holes in it. Heats the rod with a butane torch and melts the rod in the holes and it's stronger than the can ever was. Has anyone seen this stuff? Where can I get it? any info would be great. Kenny Folz K~F Welding, Phoenix AZ.
