Supports for a Fiber Sculpture

by Stephanie Everitt-Kirkbride
(Grand Rapids, MI)

Supports for a Fiber Sculpture: I am a part of a two-person team that is creating and assembling a mostly fiber based (fabric and weaving) sculpture. We are trying to design--without any experience--supports to hold up our woven panels. My question is whether or not it is possible to weld a tripod like shape onto a base as a support?can you weld something on an angle?like a 60 or 70 degree angle? The other important detail is that these panels follow a spiral line (on a curve, or several curves)

Thanks!
