It's all about the method of transfer. For thin sheet you would use a globular transfer method. S.M. A.W. or G.M.A.W. works. I do it all the time and welds after cleaning them up a bit are perfect. Islandwelder@earthlink.net.

Even better and every welder should know this is that you use a MIG welder. Arc/ stick welding is for pipe and thicker material.
