The following welding guides and books are all free. Most of them are excellent, however the first batch here are very old. But they will help you build your knowledge and you might learn a thing or two about working with metal.

Most of the welding ebooks are links to versions that you can read instantly online without downloading. Some of them will require you to download using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
