3 Tier Chandelier

3 Tier Chandelier

Tools used to make the 3 Tier Chandelier: plasma cutter, tig, mig, chop saw, electric tin snips, air 90, drill press.

Material used 18 ga crs.

I cut rectangles out of the 18ga using the plasma on the bottom of the rectangles to give it a different look, and using the electric tin snips to cut out the top and sides of the rectangles.

I used the drill press to cut small holes in the top of each rectangle. I had a length of chain that I used the plasma cutter to cut individual links out of and then tig welded them, and closed in the holes of each of the rectangles.

I build three frames using 1/4 round bar and welded the rectangles from the chain onto the frames with the mig, then connecting the three frames together with the remaining chain.

I strung a light into the middle of the chandelier and connected chain to the top frame and used a carabineer to connect the chains together at the top. The whole project from idea to finished product took about 30 hours. I could shave about 5 hours off if I had used a sheer to cut rectangles.
