Hobby Welder

I had to make a 3-piece bracket using short pieces of 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch steel that required unusual angles impossible to shape using normal clamping tools.

The solution was to first epoxy the parts together in the proper shape, then tack after the epoxy had set. Final weld was with a 6011 rod to cut through the epoxy.

Don't try that with aluminum; even water is a contaminant to an aluminum weld.
