Better starts and better welds

To help get better starts and better welds, and a more eye pleasing weld, keep a pair of wire cutters handy to clip your wire end before starting a new weld. Especially if you don't have a burnback timer on your wire feeder Doing this will give you good hot starts, and help to eliminate porisity and unburned wire, cat whiskers at your starts. I have seen welders arc their wire off on the side of the work table or the piece they are welding on. DON'T DO IT they are setting themselves or someone else up for an injury. If you lean against the table or pick up the workpiece guess where that wire is going? Yep, in you and it hurts really bad not to mention getting a infection. Also every time you pull that trigger you are using gas.
